Walter Moszel was born in May, 1969, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He graduated as a baccalaureate specialized in computing at the O.R.T. Technical School. He later obtained a degree in administration at the University of Belgrano, in 1994.
Walter was born in a family of important textile manufacturers and was soon attracted to fashion. In 1989, when he was 19 years old, he created the make U.S. 41, which soon gained Importance within the Argentine market because it imposed the jean fashion concept.
In 1994, he felt the need of creating his own firm where he would display all his creativeness, regardless stereotypes but bearing in mind the market demands. That is how Walter Moszel Clothes is born. He opened its first exclusive shop in Buenos Aires and shocks the local media with his male skirts. Interpreting the new masculinity of the 90s, the designer focuses his work towards it.
International recognition came in September 1995, when he participated in the IGEDO exhibition in Dusseldorf, Germany, where he had been especially invited to represent his country. The same year, he opened his second shop.
In 1996, he designed the wardrobes for singer Diego Torres, and Venezuelan soap opera star Fernando Carrillo. In August, he took part in the DILA, the first Latin American designers encounter in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
In 1997, he started his commercial expansion in Argentina. He toured many cities of the country causing the same impact as in Buenos Aires.
In 1998, he was selected by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires to represent it in Paris, France. Besides, he launches his "tailored line", in order to provide his customers with a better service.
Between 2000 and 2002 he went to Mexico working as creative director for Casa Julio, Back in Buenos Aires, he relaunched his label in 2003 and in 2005 he starts designing for Phillgreen.
Throughout the years, Walter Moszel's work has gained recognition and has been intensively covered by the local and international press. Renowned television programs such as Mirtha Legrand'S, Susana Gimenez's, Roberto Giordano's, EI Rayo, Teleshow have often invited him, and the coverage of his fashion shows by different news programs. He has also appeared in many programs in cable television, and his fashion shows are re-run all the time. Moszel's presentations have also been covered by HBO ole, CNN in Spanish, E! Entertainment Television, and Peoples and Arts. Written press has also covered his activities in magazines such as Gente, Caras, La Revista, BA Colecciones, D'Mode, DyD Moda, Para Ti, Luna, Noticias, Area Fashion, CosmopOlitan, Elle; and the following newspapers: Clarin, la Nacion, EI Cronista, La Prensa, and Ambito Financiero.
